The core of EXE formed as a three piece late in 2003 with Chris Speciale playing bass and guitars, Rodney Cornett on drums and Dawn Keim on synth and lead vocals. All three came from different musical backgrounds that they blended to form a unique sound; Chris from various punk and metal bands, most notably Krud Slit and Terminus, Rodney from Industrial and Electronic Rock bands Visions of Passion and Torture and Digital Hitmen and Dawn a classically trained vocalist and guitarist at Case-Western Reserve. Over the years there has been a revolving cast of supporting members, mostly guitarists. In 2009, Russell Farha came onboard to play bass and Chris began playing guitar full time.

EXE has been playing shows regularly in and around St. Louis since their first show at The Way Out Club in May 2004. To date, they have recorded two demos and and one full length album. Both demos are available for free download on the Media page and their full length CD, Bloodlines can be purchased from CD Baby. EXE is set to begin recording their second full length album this year.

Chris Special: Chris lives and breathes music; it is his passion whether just listening or creating his own. Chris writes the majority of the lyrics for EXE and contributes musically with the rest of the band.

Rodney Cornett: A man of many talents; Rodney plays drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards. His role with EXE has been primarily percussion, but he also does the majority of the programming and tracked keyboards.

Dawn Keim: A social butterfly and vocalist since childhood; Dawn is a compassionate person towards her fellow man and enjoys giving her all in any endeavors she pursues whether it be on stage or out in the world. Don't mistake her compassion for weakness though, just as she can be your best friend, she can also be your most bitter enemy and whichever path you choose, she's going to put her heart into it.

Russell Farha: Lawyer by day, low end punisher by night. He has a fetish for small breasted women and keeps a locked toy chest at the foot of his bed. No one living knows what's inside.
